“These boots are made for walking and riding and roping on the range. Around the Willow Loop, I came across a ranch, all fenced, nice and pretty. On each post of that fence was an old boot, over a hundred of ‘em. I photographed each one and had to quit, when for the first time, on my camera the overheated, red light came on.”
