The cactus is electric alright and beautiful. It is also rugged and versatile. Like most Texans, it can survive under many different environmental conditions. Historically, prickly cactus is a part of our Texas cattle industry. Some types of cactus grew as forage for cattle and certainly had an impact on the cattle industry. Yes, it is rugged, versatile, and uniquely beautiful. I have just made it a little more so with a digital painting technique.
