In her visit with Cheri and Sally, Sherri talks about suffering, and how, when we suffer, it is what we do with the suffering that matters....When we offer that suffering to God and offer it up for other people, God takes that suffering and turn it into a beautiful grace of joy and peace....Sherri offers her suffering...every bit of it, to God. She offers it up for those who suffer and those who are sick or dying because she knows that when we offer suffering with love and joy, God can take that suffering and do amazing things.

She has lung cancer, but she offers her illness as prayer for others… …and you’ll hear from Gary. He went to a conference kicking and screaming and in a leisure suit...and came back in love with Jesus, Mary, and his Catholic faith. Program note: On Wednesday, February 20th, our dear friend, Sherri D., left the loving embrace of her devoted husband, children, and extended family and went into the waiting arms of our Blessed Mother and her Son, Jesus. Please pray with us for them as they grieve her loss, and please offer prayers of support for them and thanksgiving for the gift that Sherri was to so many. She offered her pain and the suffering of her illness as prayer intentions for those who asked for and needed prayers. The fragrance of her beautiful spirit will linger with us always.

Mary's Touch Program 1.32: Sherry Brownrigg "It was an incredible understanding of the depth of despair of my husband and his active alcoholism and not being able to get out of it because it had a grip on him. God was helping me to see what he felt like so that I would make the right decision. At that healing mass, I felt the Holy Spirit say to me, 'Be in my will and he will be healed....Sherry, don't worry, he's mine.'" Cheri and Sally spend the entire half hour with Sherry Brownrigg. I don't think he understood he was saying a very very profound truth: In Christ, through all of His suffering, we could see the man that Jesus was....I listen to Mark's story...and I think, Ecce Homo--behold the way a man who loves his wife struggles with himself to be her strength...behold the man who holds up his children and gives them the strength of meeting something that nobody wants to meet." "...I've thought about this many times...how God chose this man for my life. I love him so much. He is the foundation of our family." You'll hear again from our friend, Sherri Davis. Since she was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2007, she has shared the gift of her faith journey and her life with the listeners of Mary's Touch.
